  • INGREDIENTS
  • 2 pound beef top round steak
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsps canola oil
  • 2 tbsps onion soup mix
  • 2 tbsps red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ground oregano
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 medium potatoes ( 7-8 oz each )
  • 1 tbsp cold water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

 

PROCEDURE

First, cut steaks into serving size chunks then place them in a 5-quaint slow cooker. Then, combine the tomato sauce, oil, soup mix, vinegar, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper in a large bowl; pour over meat.

Second, scrub and pierce the potatoes and place over meat.

Third, cover and cook it on low heat for 7-8 hours or till the meat and potatoes become tender.

 

Fourth, remove meat and potatoes; keep warm.

A good steak sauce should enhance the flavor of the meat and not disguise it. So, to have a more flavorful sauce, follow the instructions carefully.

First, for gravy, pour cooking juices to a small saucepan; then, skim fat. Combine water and cornstarch till smooth; stir into juices gradually.

Second, bring to boil, and then cook and stir for two minutes or till thickened.

Lastly, serve with meat and potatoes.
